Dr. Elika Issowe- medical doctor with more fifteen years’ experience of practicing in the discipline of medicine, in clinical and preventive medicine. A hard worker, focused and eagerly to learn and mentor junior doctors. Resident in Paediatrics at the Hubert Kairuki Memorial University (HKMU)2019-todate. Post graduate Diploma in Palliative Medicine, University of Capetown.SA, 2010-2011. Bachelor Degree Doctor of Medicine, Hubert Kairuki Memorial University(HKMU)2002-2007

AWARDS: During  working at HIV/AIDS centre for more than  five years, I lead the group of more than 20 medical professionals in caring of patients living with chronic conditions who needed end to life care. Due to outstanding performance leadership 2011-2012,   I received full scholarships which is usually competitive offered  to medical personnel working in developing countries to study postgraduate diplomas in Palliative Medicine at Cape town in South Africa.

 Working as a pediatric specialist, chronic diseases in children are not spared ,so Public Health palliative care intervention is inevitable in order to address their wellbeing. Palliative care has been practicing not full in east African zone, so its high time to be part of this new movement so as to share skills and experiences acquired form course participated believing together we can reach far.
